About

Gandhi With Guns was created by me, a simple man known as Shaun Kranish.  I am father, and dedicate this site to my two beloved daughters, Elena and Olivia.  The site is designed not only to teach them, but in hopes of helping to inspire others and create cascading effects to make the world as safe, beautiful, and happy as possible.  It is a wonderful world, of which all humans are co-creators.  With love, beauty, nature, stillness, and intention we shape it daily.

The name Gandhi With Guns reflects my philosophy in peace.  I see peaceful non-compliance, also called civil disobedience and non-violent non-cooperation as being the most effectual way to enact positive change.  It is a doctrine born out of love and courage rather than hate and fear.  It is one in which we do not hate, name-call, injure, or mistreat our political enemies, but extend them love within our healthy boundaries, by actively and peacefully refusing to do as they attempt to dictate.

Gandhi very much advocated non-violence, beyond my comprehension in some instances, and nothing matched its effectiveness.  The mahatma was correct in that a certain part of human nature is activated when it witnesses individuals and groups of individuals being willing to be persecuted yet and injured, yet steadfastly unwilling to comply and obey.

The Guns in Gandhi With Guns comes from my believe in the right to effective self-defense.  While seemingly and admittedly at odds with the doctrine of non-violence on its face, I believe the right to keep and bear arms can still be integrated for individuals who follow it.  Gandhi understood some individuals would use self-defense in some circumstances, "Among the many misdeeds of the British rule in India, history will look upon the Act depriving a whole nation of arms as the blackest."  The right to keep and bear arms is essential for the individual to be independent and free and provide for her or his own safety and also help provide it for loved ones and the collective community.

Just as animals have the instinct to fight to protect themselves, so do humans.  We no longer use teeth and claws, but have rather adopted tools.  Personal carryable (bearable) firearms are the best tools for this job, and have been used to save countless lives.  When the right to keep and bear (RKBA) is forecefully denied and infringed with so-called "gun control," tragedy befalls in the form of unorganized and organized crime.  The worst of these crimes resulted in as many as 200 Million precious human lives destroyed in just the 20th century alone - mainly by communist government leaders and agents among many other psychopaths.

For this reason I have adopted the doctrine of peaceful but active resistance, the wonderfully-effective art of civil disobedience, yet choose to protect and exercise my right to keep and bear arms, and encourage others to do the same.  It is a hybrid approach that hopes to never have the occasion to need to act in self-defense.  I wish for us to explore this together, and for it to inspire you to inspire others.

Thank you for visiting, and bless you in your own unique path.
